CYCLING IN CORNWALL
Explore Cornwall's scenic countryside as you cycle on one of the many cycle paths.
Coast to Coast Pathways
The old Mineral Tramways from Devoran to Portreath is available as an interesting ride for the average cyclist - The route follows what were working rail tracks that carried minerals (tin, copper etc) to the ancient quays at Devoran or the harbour at Portreath.
The Camel Trail
Travel along the Camel Trail and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Camel Valley which winds through some of Cornwall's most beautiful and little-known countryside.
Being an old railway track, the Trail is virtually level all the way. Although not a tarmac surface. it is mainly smooth, ideal for wheelchair users, pram and buggy pushers and people who have difficulty in walking on uneven surfaces. The Trail provides safe and easy access to unspoilt countryside for those people unable to use woodland and coastal paths
Tehidy Country Park
Offers the bike rider over 3 miles of traffic free wide tracks through it's woodland for cycling use.
The tracks are well waymarked and all have good visibility for the rider.
