The aim of the Seal Sanctuary is to protect and look after the seal population that inhabit most of Cornwall’s coast. Get up close to the little baby seal pups; learn about the seals through educational feeding talks and the incredible work this organisation do to re-introduce seals back into their natural habitat. Day 3: Falmouth Surf School

The beaches around Falmouth are spectacular for surfing. You will often spot people riding the waves here, even on a wet day! If you’re heading to Cornwall for a family holiday, you cannot leave without learning how to get up on the board. The instructors at Falmouth Surf School are experts, offering surf lessons and hire of equipment to ensure you will be flying on the water in no time. Day 4: Orca Sea Safari

One of the best ways to experience Falmouth is on the water. Orca Sea Safari offers one of Cornwall’s best boat trip experiences. Day 5: The Maritime Museum

With a multitude of events and projects displayed at the museum throughout the year, this museum, located in the heart of Falmouth town, offers lots to learn, for children and adults alike! Your children will love the wide array of fun activities hosted by the museum, from craft days to story times to productions- there will plenty to keep the little ones entertained!

 

Day 6: Pendennis Castle

The renowned castle created by King Henry VIII offers panoramic views over Falmouth Bay. The creation of this prestigious castle promoted the establishment of the town that now resides below it. There is plenty of parking so you do not have to worry. Within the castle grounds, there is an educational centre where you can learn all about the history of this iconic building and there is plenty of greenery for the kids to run around. There are even inactive cannons, perfect for a picture opportunity! With a cafe offering a range of drinks and food, you can take the opportunity to take a spot of lunch here. You could even take a walk away from the castle, once you are done exploring, down to Gylly beach that is a few minutes away to make the most of the sunshine!

 

Day 7: Departure day
