Matthew Bourne’s Early Adventures set to entertain Truro audiences

Widely regarded as Britain’s favourite choreographer, Matthew Bourne is set to bring his famed show to Cornwall this summer as part of New Adventures 25th anniversary celebrations.

The production, which is named Matthew Bourne’s Early Adventures, will present some of the acclaimed early works that helped launch his career at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro on 7, 8 and 9 June.

The triple bill of performances lined up will include Spitfire, ‘an advertisement divertissement’ which will see a 19th century ballet showstopper placed hilariously in the world of men’s underwear advertising.

Next up is Town and County, a more considered production with witty and ironic undertones, it was their first Olivier nominations. The final performance is The Infernal Galop, where traditional stereotypes of France from the tinted English vision in the 30’s and 40’s are wonderfully exhibited, climaxing in Offenbach’s famous Can-Can.

Should you be staying in some 5 star accommodation in Cornwall this summer, be sure to book your tickets to this highly entertaining show.
