Stewart Lee to perform in Truro this spring

Acclaimed English stand-up comedian, writer and director Stewart Lee is heading to Cornwall this spring, as part of a new full length touring show.

The star of BBC 2’s Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle will be presenting his show Carpet Remnant World to the Hall for Cornwall on Wednesday 18 April, sharing his hilariously considered observations on modern Britain.

He first made his breakthrough on the British comedy scene when he achieved great success with fellow comedian Richard Herring, writing material for Radio 4 show On The Hour, along with Chris Morris and Armando Iannucci.

He continued writing and performing live comedy from University life until late in 2000, when he took a break from stand-up to focus on other projects. He returned less than four years later however, and has continued to deliver great stand-up performances on his own conveyor belt of biting, highly satirical wit ever since.

It could be the perfect event to enjoy whilst relaxing on a seasonal sojourn in one of the luxury cottages in Cornwall this spring, Britain’s most popular holiday destination.
