SECRETS OF TREASURED TRURO CATHEDRAL ITEMS TO BE REVEALED IN EXHIBIT
26 March 2012
A £10,000 exhibition at Truro’s Cathedral is set to reveal the truth behind some of the intriguing secrets about the building’s artefacts.
The display, which is set to be exhibited before the summer holidays, will present 33 objects, each accompanied by a film further explaining the history of the selected item.
Some of the artefacts on display include an incense burner and a silk flower, with visitors given a unique means of access to information, placing an item into a box which contains a radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader, before chips attached to the objects trigger the start of the films.
The films are 15-40 seconds long, whilst curators are hoping a further 30 films will be made which would involve the community, local schools and colleges.
It could be an informative and intriguing day out for any of those wishing to enjoy their summer sojourn in some luxury accommodation in Cornwall, the perfect base for your British holiday.
