EVENTS LINED UP TO CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF CORNWALL WILDLIFE TRUST
4 April 2012
A series of events will be taking place from spring through to August all over Cornwall to mark the Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s 50th anniversary.
Gardens across the Helston area and beyond will welcome wildlife enthusiasts, starting in Poldowrian at Coverack, where a four-acre wild garden stretches lazily from a magnificent house, winding its way to the cliffs and hosting some spectacular views on the afternoon of Thursday, April 12. Alongside its stunning panoramic outlook are ponds, a stream, specimen trees and shrubs and the prehistoric remains from 5500 BC discovered on site, all of which make this a garden to explore and immerse yourself in.
The Potager Garden in Constantine will also be open all day on Sunday June 24, and is renowned for creating a leisurely atmosphere, setting the scene with hammocks and games alongside a glasshouse café.
Just two of many events lined up to celebrate the anniversary; it provides the perfect excuse to enjoy a stay in some luxury accommodation in Cornwall this year.
