THE TRURO & PENWTIH FAL RIVER FESTIVAL TO RETURN THIS JUNE
13 April 2012
The Truro and Penwith Fal River Festival is set to return this June, presenting a wonderful event that has quickly become one of the most popular events in the region.
Established back in 2006, the not-for-profit festival event designed to encapsulate the journey of the local area, embracing the spirit, culture and history of the places that are connected by the river. The festival plays host more than 150 events, offering a diverse range of activities and events including music and drama, gig racing, walking and many more. Just some already earmarked for this years celebrations include the Fal River Walk, Castle to Castle swim and the Fal Fish Festival.
The Truro and Penwith Fal River festival will take place from 1 - 10 June. Organisers will be hoping to repeat the success of last year, which saw over 100,000 visitors and raising more than £75,000 for charitable causes. If you happen to be staying in any one of the cottages in Cornwall over the dates, why not come along and get into the Cornish festival spirit?
