British band Curved Air set for Penzance gig

Pioneering British progressive rock band Curved Air have been lined up for a performance in Cornwall next month.

The rock band, recognised as one of the first to incorporate a violin, will be performing at The Acorn in Penzance on Saturday 5 May.

Original members Sonja Kristina on vocals and Florian Pilkington-Miksa on drums are returning to help recreate the unique and powerful combination of a remarkable vocalist and virtuoso musicians associated with the act over the years.

They are perhaps best known for their hit 1971 single ‘Back Street Luv’, which reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart, whilst they have released eight studio albums, three of which broke the top 20 in the UK Album Chart.

Just one of many evening events taking place in the county this spring, it could be the perfect night out for any of those planning a stay in some luxury cottages in Cornwall, the perfect base for a British holiday.
