Heartlands project opened in Cornwall

One of the most anticipated dates in the Cornish cultural calendar has arrived, with Friday 20 April marking the opening of the much talked about Heartlands Project.

A former industrial landscape which has been transformed in to what many are calling the UK’s first ‘cultural playground’, the opening of the £35m tourist attraction was eagerly awaited by locals and tourists alike.

Boasting state of the art exhibitions, climb-on sculptures swathes of green outdoor space and a giant adventure playscape for children, the project will form part of Cornwall’s World Heritage Site.

It is yet another addition to the stunning cultural landscape associated with the county and is free for everyone, meaning it could represent the ideal cheap escapade for those wishing to enjoy the 19 acres available to discover and explore.

It could represent the perfect day out for any of those enjoying a relaxing sojourn in some luxury accommodation in Cornwall, a great base for a beautiful British vacation.
