Encouraging financial figures for Cornwall venue

Figures emerging from one of Cornwall’s most famous theatres are more than encouraging for the venue’s long term future according to the Hall for Cornwall director.

A wide range of award-winning line-ups and established acts have helped propel the theatre’s finances back into the black, with tickets hitting a three-year peak, despite funding cutbacks.

Figures released suggest the Hall for Cornwall sold more than 180,000 tickets in 2011, a rise of more than 20,000 from the previous year.

Director Julien Boast said: “In the context of cuts from our two big funders, the Arts Council and Cornwall Council, it really is excellent news."

Host to some spectacular performances, the Hall for Cornwall is an excellent venue to enjoy a variety of performances, ranging from the classics to drama. Why not check it out whilst enjoying a stay in some 5 star accommodation in Cornwall, the perfect base for a British vacation?
