Stithians Agricultural Show returning to Cornwall this summer

Widely regarded as Cornwall’s biggest one day agricultural show since the early 1800s, the Stithians Agricultural Show is returning to the county this summer.

It has taken place annually since the 19th century on the Feast Day of St. Stythians Church, which is always the nearest Monday following July 10.

Taking place on 16 July this summer, the show originally started as a competition between local parishioners to see who could grow the best vegetables, raise the finest cattle and breed the greatest horses. The show has since blossomed into a great day out for the whole family, and welcomes thousands of people every year.

There is a Taste of Cornwall tent boasting the very best in local cuisine, a fur and feather section specifically designed for children, food courts, craft stalls, musical entertainment and many more events and activities to entertain the whole family.

Why not check out this brilliant event brimming with local tradition whilst enjoying a summer break in one of the fantastic cottages in Cornwall, a great base for a British holiday.
