CORNWALL’S FESTIVAL OF SPORT IN MARAZION
24 July 2012
Fitness fans staying in cottages in Cornwall are in for a treat this September thanks to the launch of the Human Race Festival of Sport. The festival will last for 3 days from 14th-16th September in the town of Marazion, with St Michael’s Mount as a stunning backdrop.
Whether competing or spectating, there will be lots of entertaining activities going on. Athletic events include a triathlon, beach runs, cycling along the coastal roads and open water swims, all utilising the natural features of Cornwall, a magnificent location for summer sports.
Alongside the sport and racing there will be live music and comedy acts including chart-toppers Reef, delicious food from Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts and plenty of activities for kids, including sandcastle building, beach sports and a treasure hunt.
This event is new to Cornwall and it looks set to add to the list of great sporting events happening in the UK this year. Festival passes can be purchased on the Festival of Sport website, where more information about the weekend can also be found.
