Falmouth set for SPLASH 2012

Falmouth may soon be making a name for itself in the arts world thanks to a new festival; SPLASH 2012. From 7th-16th September the Cornish town will provide an ideal platform for well known and not-so-well-known creative talent to showcase their art.

Although the festival is brand new, it has already drawn the attention of a few famous names, including former children’s laureate Michael Morpurgo, who is probably most well known for his novel War Horse which is currently a favourite on London’s West End.

All kinds of art will be displayed at the festival including six light, sound and art installations, David Kemps’s plastic botany and a production of Allotment, an Edinburgh Fringe festival award-winning play.

This brand new festival looks set to be full of great things to do and many events are free. It will be a cultural holiday highlight for anyone staying in 5 star cottages in Cornwall.
