Get close to nature with a Coastal & Hedgerow Wild Food Foraging Walk

The Fal River Autumn Walking Festival is holding a particularly special event this October, where visitors can go on a guided tour of the best edible treats that can be found naturally in the Falmouth area.

Rachel Lambert will be taking keen walkers on a Coastal and Hedgerow Wild Food Foraging Walk and reveal to them the identities of wild, edible plants, how to use them safely, and some tasty recipe ideas.

Anyone staying in self catering Cornwall cottages who is interested in gathering plants such as rock samphire, sea radish, alexanders, dandelion and brambles can head to Gyllyngvase Beach cafe at 3pm on 21st October for a day out that is as fun as it is interesting.

Adult tickets are £20 and £5 for under-16s; just remember to bring warm clothes, a waterproof coat and comfortable shoes to make the most of this journey into foraging.
