Huge increase in people on search for half term holidays

There has been a late surge in the amount of people looking for holidays during the half term period, a clear indication that families are looking to enjoy the last of the summer before the winter sets in.

The development comes after the travel comparison website TravelSupermaket.com released details on the most popular search terms, recording a 19% rise in searches for holidays during the up and coming half term period (26 October – 4 November).

Although the half term period has always been a popular period in which to travel, many believe the rise is because of the huge amounts of rain the country experienced in the summer, coupled with the effect of events such as the Diamond Jubilee in June and the London Olympics in the summer.

It’s never too late to treat yourself to an unforgettable holiday away with the children this half term. If you are keen to get out of the house and explore all that England has to offer, why not book into one of the idyllic cottages in Cornwall before it’s too late?
