The famous Angarrack Christmas lights to be turned on next month

Renowned for its array of pretty villages and welcoming communities, Cornwall is a great place to visit during Christmas time when the festive celebrations kick off in earnest.

One such event marking the beginning of Christmas is the turning on of the lights at Angarrack, regarded by many as one of the best Christmas light displays in the county.

Taking place on 1 December, the event will include a raffle, dancers and fireworks, whilst food from the pub and a visit by Father Christmas are certain to keep visitors feeling warm and refreshed.

Featuring lights designed and built in Angarrack, the main display includes twelve lights for the 12 days of Christmas, with the eleven pipers standing at an impressive 20m wide and nearly 10m tall.

Illuminated every day until 5 January, a trip to the pretty village whilst enjoying a winter break in one of the luxury cottages in Cornwall could help families banish those winter blues away and set up a memorable Christmas everyone can enjoy.
