Tate St Ives to get £10.5 million expansion
Plans for a £10.5 million expansion of the award-winning Tate St Ives have received a boost after the town council threw its weight behind the exciting ideas.

The proposals are for the attraction to be developed into the hillside above Porthmeor Beach, creating new gallery space and extending the rear of the fascinating museum.

Tate St Ives’ executive director Mark Osterfield said he was ‘delighted’ at the news, claiming that it was a strong message from the town that they had got the ‘message right’.

One of many excellent attractions across the county of Cornwall, the Tate St Ives attracts more than 200,000 visitors to St Ives each year, contributing an estimated £12 million a year to the local economy.
