COASTAL PATH BETWEEN SENNEN AND LAND'S END REDEVELOPED
21 January 2013
Those who enjoy a coastal walk whilst staying in cottages in Cornwall could soon see one of the favourite coastal footpaths in Cornwall regenerated for 2013. The popular path between Sennen and Land's End is to undergo redevelopment work which will make the walk all the more enjoyable.
The South West Coast Path team, National Trust, Cornwall Council and Land's End Company have supported and funded the £20,000 project which will see the quality of the much-loved route greatly improve. Work began on a stone pitching project this week which will help rectify erosion problems and improve general access to the public.
The first stage of the project will see 220m of the path pitched with granite and will be completed in 10 weeks, whilst the second stage will take a little longer and complete a further 600m of stone pitching near Land's End. Once complete, the coastal path is sure to be a favourite with those enjoying a holiday in the region.
