New footpath announced for Carlyon Bay beachfront

It was announced this week that a new public footpath is due to be created along a privately owned beachfront development. Carlyon Bay near St Austell is soon to undergo a £250 million development and included in the plans is a new public footpath alongside the beautiful coast of Cornwall.

Many of those who stay in luxury accommodation in Cornwall during a holiday in the county also enjoy making the most of the majestic Cornish coast with a refreshing walk, and this latest development will see the creation of a new public right of way around Carlyon Bay. It has been welcomed by the numerous people who have spent the last decade campaigning for the footpath to be given the go ahead in addition to the new sport, leisure and retail facilities that will be built further inland.

Although the footpath will not be in full working order for a little while yet, those enjoying a Cornwall holiday in the future will be able to enjoy this new perspective of the Cornish coast.
