FEBRUARY SEES NEW AND OLD EXHIBITS AT ROYAL CORNWALL MUSEUM
6 February 2013
An exhibition at the popular Royal Cornwall Museum is due to come to an end this month after a successful few months on display. The Japanese Shibayama exhibit is due to end on 15 February to make way for even more new and exciting displays.
There is still time for those staying in dog friendly cottages in Cornwall to check out this fantastic exhibition which is described as one of the best collections of Japanese ornamental lacquerware in Europe. The beautiful decorative pieces were made in Japan in the 1800s and have become very popular with Western collectors.
Although this great exhibit is ending at the Royal Cornwall Museum, another exciting one is beginning this month, named Quarry Voices. The exhibit opens on 9 February and will provide a great deal of insight into the history of quarrying in Cornwall over the years.
Whatever exhibit you choose to see at the Royal Cornwall Museum, the attraction is sure to be a highlight of any holiday in the county.
