Archbishop of Canterbury to visit Truro next month

It has been announced that the new Archbishop of Canterbury is set to visit Truro Cathedral next month, an event which is sure to be much anticipated by Christians all across the county.

The principal leader of the Church of England, the arrival of Justin Welby is a fantastic privilege for the Cornish city. The influential religious figure is visiting purely for prayer, with both himself and the Bishop of Truro, the Right Reverend Tim Thornton, urging people from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to join then in the service.

The service with the Archbishop of Canterbury will be taking place at Truro Cathedral on Monday 18 March, During the day, he will be praying both by himself and, at certain times, alongside other people. If you happen to be staying in any of the self catering cottages in Cornwall during the period, why not come along and join in the service?
