PORTHLEVEN'S MASKED BALL SECURES FUTURE
1 March 2013
The popular Porthleven Masked Ball recently secured its future, with a permanent licence which allows them to continue to stage the annual event.
The Ball has drawn in 3,000 revellers in the past, with many coming to enjoy the entertaining live music and breath-taking cliff-top location. The annual event is held at Beacon Crag and has been running since 2006, taking place on two days over the May bank holiday weekend. Kelvin Batt, the man behind the ball, commented on the new licence, saying that it was fantastic news.
The licence was approved after the council's environmental health officers accepted the event's noise management plan for controlling music levels at the cliff-top location, which should also keep local residents happy.
If you're planning on taking a break in one of the many cottages in Cornwall this May and want to experience the exciting event for yourself, ticket booking details can be found on the Masked Ball website; along with a full line up of musical acts.
