Cornwall is heralded for its beaches, offering a collection of fine sandy stretches which are enjoyed by millions of people on their holidays throughout the year. While they are familiar as great spots to catch some sun, a number of its coastlines have recently been celebrated for their opportunities to kayak.
Following a recent survey of kayak enthusiasts, it found that the county is one of the top ten dream kayaking destinations in the UK. It was carried out by the online kayak resource Sitons, asking 500 watersport fans what their favourite location was to kayak in the UK.
In the findings, Cornwall is described as boasting both glorious sunshine and a gentle breeze, leaving many to be feel as if they were in some distant and exotic location. With popular haunts such as Looe Beach, Talland Bay and Praa Sands, its little wonder Cornwall is famed as a great place to get out on the water!
If you are lucky enough to be staying in any of the luxury self catering cottages in Cornwall this summer, why not bring your kayak down and discover the fantastic paddle spots found across the county?
