CAMRA PRAISES CORNISH PUB FOR TOP LOCAL REAL ALE

8 April 2013

CAMRA praises Cornish pub for top local real ale

A Cornish pub has been praised as one of the best pubs in Britain after members of CAMRA voted the venue as one of the top 150 local real ale pubs in the country. Popular with both locals and those staying in self catering Cornwall cottages, The Star Inn in Crowlas has deservedly earned its place as one of the best real ale pubs in Great Britain.

Alongside The Ship and Pilot in Ilfracombe, Devon and the Crossways Inn in West Huntspill, Somerset, The Star Inn was one of only three pubs in the UK to make the cut. The pubs were judged on the quality of their ale, customer service and value for money, all of which they excelled in. The next stage of the competition will whittle down the venues to find the top regional pub of the year and then the National pub of the year.

Although The Star Inn is just one of the many excellent and welcoming pubs in Cornwall, it is certainly well worth a visit for anyone thinking of enjoying a holiday in Cornwall soon.
