Thousands enjoy Cornwall Spring Flower Show

Thousands of people who enjoyed a stay in luxury cottages in Cornwall last weekend headed to Boconnoc near Lostwithiel for the Cornwall Spring Flower Show, an event which proved to be a huge success thanks to good weather and plenty of reason to celebrate.

As Cornwall's answer to the Chelsea Flower Show, the event was always going to attract a great number of visitors, but the good weather and 101st anniversary of the show meant that the crowds were huge and spirits high. The estate at Boconnoc provided the perfect backdrop for the show as its many camellias and azaleas were blooming beautifully.

A definite highlight of the weekend was the presence of Roy Lancaster, horticulturalist and BBC radio presenter, who opened the show and presented an extra special edition of Gardeners' Question Time. The Cornwall Spring Flower Show is just one of the many exciting events enjoyed by those visiting Cornwall, of which there are sure to be plenty more this year.
