Tregothnan Estate to open for special charity event

A great day is expected to be had by all later in April when Tregothnan Estate, near Truro, opens the gates to its private gardens for a charity weekend. As the gardens are normally only opened to private visitors, but for one weekend only, everybody is welcome to enjoy the beautiful grounds.

The gardens cover over 100 acres and are as impressive in diversity as they are in size; Tregothnan is home to England's only tea grower and producer as well as some rare and endangered trees from across the globe. Neil Bennett, head gardener, said that people are always "spellbound" by a visit to Tregothnan, making the weekend of 20-21 April a must for visitors.

Those staying in dog friendly cottages in Cornwall who pay a visit to the estate will be able to enjoy tea tastings, cream teas, musical entertainment, children's games and a classic car display, and with all this for £6.50 for adults which all goes to charity, there is every reason to head to Tregothnan Estate for their charity weekend.
