Cornwall to welcome the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh

It was announced this week that Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh are to visit Cornwall this summer. Although great news for the region, very few details about the Queen's visit have been revealed.

The Royal visit will occur on 17 May and is sure to bring out many locals and holidaymakers enjoying a stay in dog friendly cottages in Cornwall, offering people a rare chance to see the Queen in person. It is not currently known where she will be visiting or why she is in Cornwall, but she is sure to have a wonderful time taking in the fresh air and beautiful countryside.

The Queen's last visit to Cornwall saw her enjoy a boat ride in Falmouth to launch the start of her Jubilee tour, and she appeared to have a wonderful time meeting the friendly Cornish residents and seeing the sea. Wherever she chooses to go in Cornwall, there are sure to be plenty of people to greet her.
