James May and celebrity friends start charity event at Land's End

A charity campaign for Breast Cancer Care saw a number of famous faces make an appearance at a Cornish beauty spot this week. Top Gear star James May, singer Gary Barlow, radio presenter Chris Evans and physicist Professor Brian Cox were greeted by fans at Land's End before they set off in a bright pink Rolls Royce for the FAB1MILLION campaign.

The celebrities made quite an impact as they gathered at Land's End after spending a night in 5 star cottages in Cornwall, except for Chris Evans who took a helicopter in on the morning of departure after finishing his early morning breakfast show from a studio in Truro.

After greeting fans and signing autographs, James, Gary, Chris and Brian set off through the Cornish countryside at around 10.30am on 18 April and were expected to arrive at John O'Groats at 4am on 19 April, with stops at Bristol, Manchester and Glasgow along the way.
