SEBASTIAN FAULK'S BIRDSONG HEADS TO TRURO'S HALL FOR CORNWALL
19 April 2013
One of Sebastian Faulk's most famous novels has been turned into a play which is set to wow audiences at the Hall for Cornwall next month.
Birdsong is one of the British writer's best-selling novels, and the epic tale of love and war has been specially adapted for a play which is now on its first ever tour of the UK. The cast include familiar faces from such shows as Eastenders, Hollyoaks and War Horse, and newcomer Jonathan Smith will be taking the leading role as troubled soldier Stephen Wraysford.
The play tells the enchanting story of the love, sacrifice and incredible courage of a man who fights during the Great War, and has been highly praised by theatre critics from The Telegraph, whose review can be read here.
For an entertaining evening out whilst staying in cottages in Cornwall, holidaymakers need look no further than this production of Birdsong, which is coming to the Hall for Cornwall from 7-11 May. Tickets range from £16 to £28 and can be purchased by phoning the Box Office on 01872 262466.
