RNLI begin preparing for a busy summer on Cornwall's beaches

Some of west Cornwall's busiest beaches will welcome back RNLI lifeguards over the coming days, adding extra assurance to young families with vulnerable persons heading to one of the wonderful cottages in Cornwall over the coming months.

The lifeguards, many of whom have already been in action over the Easter weekend, will kick off the summer season by manning the likes of Gwithian, Hayle Towans, Porthmeor, Sennen and Praa Sands.

A further 28 beaches will benefit from RNLI safety patrols from 18 May, and from 6 July a total of 57 beaches across Cornwall will boast RNLI lifeguard cover.

Blessed with an array of stunning beaches, glorious surrounding countryside and a slew of family-friendly attractions, Cornwall is a great place for a family vacation. Enjoy your sandy sojourns safe in the knowledge you and your loved ones will be under the watch of the ever reliable RNLI.
