Murdoch Day Returns to Redruth

If you're planning on enjoying a summer break in Cornwall this year, there's an exciting event coming up in Redruth as the town prepares to host the annual Murdoch Day.

Murdoch Day is an annual event which celebrates the life and work of one of the town's most famous citizens, inventor William Murdoch (1754 – 1839). The day of activities has both entertainment and educational fun, from the dance and art procession through the streets to the old time fair and more educational events dotted around the town.

The big day takes place this June 15th and is an ideal event for anyone who wants to learn a little more about Redruth's fascinating history and culture. It's perfect for all the family and a great choice for anyone who's staying in local cottages in Cornwall.

More information about the event can be found on the Visit Redruth website.
