New cycle path offers beauty and peace in Truro

A new cycle link was unveiled in Truro this week, linking west Truro with the city centre. Named the Coosebean Greenway, the 1.3km path is sure to make a walk or bike ride into the city centre all the more enjoyable.

The path was built at a cost of £930,000 and took five months to build, and now it has been opened in time for all those who will be heading down to Cornwall for the summer half term. Bert Biscoe, member of Cornwall Council, announced at the opening that he hopes the path will be used as a "safe and peaceful route" that can be used by both cyclists and walkers.

The Coosebean Greenway runs alongside some beautiful riverside woodland and is sure to be used by many people hoping to enjoy a pleasant walk before enjoying the shops, restaurants and entertainment venues in Truro.

A map of Truro with the new Coosebean Greenway can be found on the Cornwall Council website and could be useful for those hoping to enjoy a cycle ride in Truro this summer.
