CELEBRATE TRADITION AT POLPERRO MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL
29 May 2013
Polperro Music and Arts Festival is back for the 8th year in a row and those wondering what to do whilst enjoying a dog holiday in Cornwall will be able to find plenty of exciting activities to get involved with.
The festival celebrates the coming of summer, and a mixture of old traditions and new artists and musicians will come together to celebrate the Cornish summer. From 15-23 June, visitors will be able to enjoy an exciting range of live music, an arts and crafts fair, a colourful carnival and the lighting of the solstice bonfire.
Look out for the famous mock mayor choosing ceremony, where the unlucky winner will be wheeled through the town, stopping at every pub before being dumped in the sea.
The week is free to attend and is perfect for holidaymakers looking to explore all of Cornwall's traditions and enjoy the best in local music, comedy, theatre and more whilst visiting the Duchy.
