POPULAR SEA SHANTY FESTIVAL RETURNS TO FALMOUTH IN JUNE
31 May 2013
The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival is a well established event that has been attracting visitors and performers from all over the UK and beyond every year since it was first held in 2003, raising much-needed funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and celebrating the area's rich maritime heritage.
This year, the festival will take place on the weekend of 14th – 16th June and, as always, will be completely free for visitors to attend, providing the perfect opportunity for those who come along to explore the beautiful coastal town of Falmouth in between the various outdoor and indoor performances.
Those staying in a nearby luxury cottage in Cornwall during this period will also be able to admire the many yachts, dinghies and gigs that are expected to glide across Falmouth's waters over this weekend, too, with the town's Classics Regatta another event that is sure to delight all who take the time to watch it.
