LAFROWDA FESTIVAL RETURNING TO PENZANCE THIS SUMMER
14 June 2013
The Lafrowda Festival is set to return to Penzance this summer, offering a host of activities for the whole family to come and enjoy.
First held in the Cornish town back in 1996, it is an annual event celebrating community arts which has expanded into a festival of music, theatre and visual arts in recent years. This year's theme is 'Hysterical Histories' and, with a wide range of organisations already confirming a place during the festival, there promises to be something for family members young and old to enjoy.
The highlight of the event is Lafrowda Day on 20 July, offering a vibrant procession with bands, street theatre and many children's activities.
You can enjoy all the action from the LaFrowda Festival from 5-20 July, with all the events available completely free of charge. If you are looking forward to your Cornwall getaways during the period, be sure to come along and enjoy this extraordinary event.
