Cornwall to feature in Richard Curtis' latest romantic comedy

The stunning landscape of Cornwall and the area's many pretty villages will soon feature on the big screen in September in Richard Curtis' brand new film. The director filmed his most recent romantic comedy About Time in Cornwall, a film all the more special as it will be Curtis' final stint as director.

Cornwall's south coast features in this quirky romance about a man who discovers that he can travel in time and decides that he will use this ability to meet the woman of his dreams. St Austell Bay and the surrounding area were used to film various scenes for the film, including some of the naturally beautiful areas that have become familiar with those who have enjoyed staying in dog friendly Cornwall cottages.

Those who are looking forward to seeing Cornwall on the big screen will be able to see About Time in cinemas across the UK from 4th September onwards, but those who would see the beauty of the region in person will find plenty of self catering properties that would make an ideal base for exploration.
