Plans to make Truro Festival an annual event on the horizon
If you were staying in your luxury accommodation in Cornwall last year around the time of the Truro Festival you would know what a success it was. Following the huge success of the event’s first year, organisers are aiming to make the event an annual occurrence.

Last year’s festival boasted 50 events throughout the city of Truro with a packed and popular schedule that appealed to everyone.

Highlights set to feature for 2014’s event include the return of Gig on the Quay, art exhibitions, a spring flower show, creative workshops, literary talks, a comedy night, and an Easter Sunday Family Fun Day.

It comes as no surprise that the majority of the events are based in the festival marquee on Lemon Quay due to its superior facilities for such events. There will also be an additional 6 pop-up festival gazebos that will be moved around the city throughout the festival dates.

Visitors to the festival will be treated to events in Truro Cathedral, the Royal Cornwall Museum and in businesses around Truro too, including Lemon Street Market, Waterstones, Truro Library and a host of bars and coffee shops in the city.
