Murphy the dog’s guide to Cornwall for pooches

A Cornish dog has set up a website detailing the best places to go when on holiday in our dog friendly Cornwall Cottages.

At least – that’s the way the website’s set up, with a dog owner posing as their pooch with the use of a little creative licence.

The dog in question is Murphy, and he runs a guide to the parts of Cornwall where dogs are allowed on thecornishcoast.co.uk .

The section of the website Murphy runs is a comprehensive guide to all the businesses in Cornwall which are dog friendly and it includes an interactive map – which makes it  must visit for anyone staying in our Cornwall holiday cottages with their dog.

It also shows all the beaches where dogs are allowed to run free and play – even in the summer.

Also on the interactive maps are a number of walks for dogs, including many that might be missed by someone who doesn’t know the county well.

With Cornwall’s coastline stretching for more than 300 miles there are plenty of dog friendly areas marked out on the maps, including headlands, estuaries, woodlands and beaches – making Cornwall a dog paradise.

There are also an incredible amount of dog friendly pubs and cafes, meaning anyone can pop out for the day with their dog and not be worried about stopping somewhere to eat or grab a drink.
