CORNWALL’S ST AUSTELL BREWERY IN THE AWARDS
20 March 2014
Nothing quite like relaxing in luxury cottages UK with a nice cold beverage to celebrate a holiday. No doubt if you are relaxing in one of the Cornwall holiday cottages you will have tried one of St Austell Brewery’s offerings as they are rather tasty. They have been rewarded for their efforts in the industry and are currently celebrating an award for one of its most popular pale ales.
The IPA Proper Job was successfully crowned with the Draught Premium Bitter award at the finals of the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) National Championships last week in Sheffield.
The award comes off the back of recent rises in demand of quite significant proportions for Proper Job in recent years, with sales currently up by over 35% year-on-year with a substantial growth in draught sales.
Notably, the SIBA Championships are one of the most recognised events in the industry diary.
With almost 800 members, the SIBA organisation represents the interests of emerging and independent brewers and the event is the perfect opportunity for brewers to recognise the achievements of their peers. For those who are yet to sample the award-winning beverage, Proper Job is a powerfully authentic IPA with a modern twist. It is brewed with a blend of imported hops; Cascade, Chinook and Willamette for a punch of citrus, pine resin and hint of spice to produce this classic IPA.
