The Star Inn at Vogue claims best pub in Cornwall award

When you come to Cornwall and stay in luxury cottages the chances are that you want to enjoy the pubs and restaurants of the finest quality too. One such place you are certain to want to visit is a pub in St Day that is also home to a hair salon and library has been named as the best in whole of Cornwall.

The Star Inn at Vogue was awarded the esteemed title by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

Although the pub is a traditional public house that offer good local real ales, serve food and put on entertainment in the form of live music, landlords Mark and Rachel Graham said that given the current economic being experienced up and down the UK they had to diversify to survive.

Mr Graham said: “We offer all kinds of services out of here.

“There’s more here than other pubs. We’ve got a library, hair salon and are looking to open a camping pitch fairly soon. It’s a hub in the community.

“We support each of the 27 breweries across Cornwall and there’s a good atmosphere here.”
