Are you Cornish, English or both?

Today is St George’s Day and here at The Valley we love to celebrate that fact!

But there are some people here in The Duchy who feel they aren’t English, but Cornish!

Very little is going on across Cornwall to mark St George’s Day today, unlike the celebrations which took place almost everywhere in Cornwall on St Piran's Day back in March.

But does that mean most people in Cornwall see the land west of the Tamar as a separate entity to the rest of England, or do more people let Cornish nationalism go straight over their heads?

We think we can be both, but just for a bit of fun we thought we’d look at whether you readers of our blog, and people who come to stay at places to stay in Cornwall, feel more Cornish or English?

Were you irritated that David Cameron mentioned the Cornish pasty in his St George's Day message this year, or were you proud to see Cornwall recognised as an important part of England?
