Royal Cornwall Show set to entertain visitors with headline act

If you have booked a stay in our luxury cottages in Cornwall for the week that the Royal Cornwall Show is on and you are planning to enjoy the event then you are certainly not going to be short of things to keep you entertained throughout the 3 day event.

Sure to be wowing the crowds at the annual event at the Royal Cornwall Show are this year’s headline act, Honda’s official UK freestyle motocross team, who are set to perform their gravity defying stunts that will amaze the whole family.

This year’s expected numbers are estimated to be well over 100,000, with their extreme display taking place on June 5, 6 & 7th.

The nationally acclaimed team has the largest, highest tech landing ramp in the world and has been ridden by the world’s best freestyle professionals, including World number one Nate Adams, and World record holder, Robbie Madison the "current day Evil Knievel".

The ramp lets the riders obtain the ability to jump gaps of over 75 feet and reach heights of over 35ft in the air. During this time the riders have enough “air-time” to perform an range of death defying stunts usually only seen on television screens.

The riders also take each other on in a head to head contest- a true test of nerve- to see who will throw down the biggest tricks to win over the crowd and all with on-board commentary while performing tricks giving you a true taste of what the rider is doing.

Dan Whitby, Team Manager and one of the UK’s top freestyle riders, describes the show: “It’s more than just freestyle. It’s a non-stop show that will entertain everyone from off–road enthusiasts to the general public. It’s a must see at the show and is continually growing in popularity as the awareness of FMX increases.”

Secretary of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association, Christopher Riddle, who organises the Royal Cornwall Show, is pleased to have secured the services of the popular act for the 2014 event.

“Having appeared at the show in the past, the Bolddog Lings are real crowd pleasers, we are delighted they will be here to entertain the main ring crowds again this year.

“Yet again show-goers will be treated to a superb range of entertainment in the main ring and a diverse mix of acts on our two live music and Cornwall Festival of Dance stages.”
