FALMOUTH TEA ROOMS AND WINE BAR ATTRACTS NATIONAL ATTENTION
5 June 2014
A national newspaper article about what’s hot in Cornwall has mentioned trendy tea rooms in Falmouth, which doubles as a wine bar at night.
We’ve known all about Dolly’s since it opened in 2011, but it seems The Guardian has only just caught up, and has raved about the tea rooms in an article this week.
So we thought it was a good idea to remind our guests and prospective visitors just how good Dolly’s is!
The establishment has been a runaway success since Dolly Makin opened it three years ago, despite the fact she had no prior experience of running a bar.
That serves to show how experience isn't everything, as Dolly's has become Falmouth’s unofficial social club and the biggest problem Dolly faces is getting people to leave at the end of the night.
Dolly’s is based in a the upper floors of a Georgian townhouse, furnished with reclaimed chapel chairs, has a pianist providing a soundtrack in the corner and serves cocktails in teapots and a menu of small plates.
From 9-5 Dolly's is a traditional tea room serving illy coffee, teapigs, flowering exotic teas, cream teas and homemade cakes while at night it is a candlelit wine bar serving delicious tapas, and wines by the glass, jug and bottle.
So when you head to our luxury Cornwall holiday cottages, why not go a little further and visit Dolly’s too!
