6 of the best dog friendly places to eat in Cornwall
When staying with your four-legged friend in one of The Valley's luxury dog friendly cottages you may want to take a break from cooking and head out to one of Cornwall's great variety of fantastic places to dine. Rather than leaving your beloved pet at home to pine, we have put together our list of 6 of the best dog friendly eateries which are within easy reach of our pet friendly accomodation in Cornwall. From glorious sunset view across Newquay Bay to cosy corners in traditional Cornish pubs we think our 6 of the best has something for everyone...and their dog!

Cafe Azur
The Valley's own exclusive bar/restaurant offers you the chance to enjoy a fantastic dining experience with your pet within only a few steps from your holiday cottage. With a limited number of dog-friendly tables available we would recommend booking well in advance.

The Punchbowl and Ladle
Only a few minutes away from The Valley by car or bicycle is The Puncbowl and Ladle in Penelewey. On the road to the King Harry Ferry this lovely thatched pub serves a great selection of food, wines and Cornish ales and has a real 'local pub' feel, especially on popular live music and quiz nights. Dogs are welcome in the bar areas and outdoor terrace.

The Golden Lion Inn

Situated on the shores of Stithians Lake, Cornwall's largest freshwater reservoir, The Golden Lion provides the perfect pitstop when stretching your legs on the dog-friendly 5km round reservoir walk. This multi-award winning pub and restaurant is a real hidden gem easily accessible straight from The Valley or on the way back from a day trip further West. Owners John and Wendy welcome well behaved dogs in the pub's bar or the lovely extensive beer gardens which they have lovingly created over 17 years.

The Cornish Arms
Rick and Jill Stein's very own "proper Cornish" pub is in the village of St.Merryn just oustide of Padstow. Under the direction of Head Chef Alex Clark The Cornish Arms offers a traditional menu of pub classics, albeit with a Rick Stein twist! Dogs are welcome in the pub on leads and there is also a beer garden.

Ohana Beach Cafe
For a Hawaiian experience on Cornwall's North Coast head to Ohana Beach Cafe where great locally sourced food, amazing cocktails and speciality coffee can be found in a stunning clifftop terrace location overlooking Newquay Bay. Dogs are welcome throughout and if you fancy some late night entertainment Ohana also hosts lots of live music events. Check out their website for more details.

Picnic Cornwall
Emma and Mark's award winning cafe and delicatessen in central Falmouth is a mecca for those in search of great coffee and the best Cornish artisan food and drink produce. Picnic is very dog-friendly, even stocking a range of handmade Cornish dog treats! If you are planning a day filled with 'walkies' Picnic can also provide a bespoke lunch hamper for you to collect or even have delivered to your holiday accomodation in Cornwall.
