REVEALED: CORNWALL'S PRICIEST POSTCODES
28 August 2014
Cornwall’s priciest postcodes have been uncovered in conjunction with a study looking into the growth of a new generation of property millionaires.
Prime Minister David Cameron’s preferred Cornish holiday destinations in Padstow and Fowey have some lovely luxury self-catering Cornwall accommodation on offer but the permanent abodes have beaten off competition to head up the list of the Duchy’s most desirable places to live.
Over 160,000 new property millionaires have been created in the last year in Britain alone following the recovery of the housing market and its take off, according to the Zoopla website.
The website estimates that 484,081 have hit the landmark figure, a 49% or 160,397 increase on a year ago, as its survey highlighted a dozen streets with average prices of £10 million.
Potential home owners in Cornwall who are hoping to rub shoulders with the PM by snapping up a home in Padstow would now need to dig deep by shelling out £376,000 followed by Fowey, where the PL23 postcode returned an average of £373,000.
Fortunately for the rest of us we still have a beautiful array of Cornish holiday cottages for you to enjoy the same experience as these lucky homeowners.
