BRITAIN'S SADDEST DOG GETS A REASON TO SMILE
16 August 2014
We were delighted to hear some good news here at The Valley this week, as it emerged Britain’s saddest dog has been given a reason to turn that frown upside down.
As providers of dog friendly holidays in Cornwall we keep a keen eye on dog related news and we were touched by the story of Bless.
Bless was taken in by the world famous Battersea Dogs Home in London after being made homeless and was dubbed the saddest dog in the UK after spending five months at the centre – far longer than the average stay of 29 days.
Bless’ extended stay prompted staff to make a newspaper appeal for a new owner, and we’re delighted to report it’s worked.
Bless’ new owners Geoff and Sylvia looked beyond her sad face when they saw her in the Daily Mail and decided to give her a loving home.
What a happy ending!
