6 OF OUR FAVOURITE CORNISH BEACHES
23 September 2014
When holidaying in one of The Valley Cornwall’s cottages we are sure you will want to visit some of Cornwall’s many beaches. The Valley’s luxury holiday cottages are very conveniently located between the North and South coast beaches to give you the best of both coasts. Whether its child friendly, dog friendly, surf or calm water you are looking for, Cornwall has it all. With so many choices of stunning beaches to visit in Cornwall we have tried to narrow it down to just 6 of our favourite beaches you may like to visit whilst on holiday.
Located on the North Coast and only a 20 minute drive from The Valley this long sandy beach is perfect for those with their four legged friends and for those seeking some surf. There are lots of facilities nearby and a lovely bar called the Watering Hole, on the beach.
A stunning idyllic part of Cornwall, Kynance Cove is a ‘must’ see…don’t forget to pack your camera. Explore the hidden coves, take a dip in the natural pool and don’t forget to check out the rock sculptures! Remember to check the tide times before visiting.
A beautiful soft and sandy North Coast beach at St.Ives. Park at Lelant Saltings and take the scenic train ride into St.Ives – the last stop is just above the beach! This beach is definitely a camera moment and when the sun is out you will think you are abroad.
10 minutes from The Valley you can catch the King Harry Ferry across to the wonderful Roseland. Porthcurnick is a sandy, sheltered beach close to the harbour of Portscatho. Great for snorkelling and exploring rock pools, plus crabbing at the harbour.
Only a 15 minute drive from The Valley, this South Coast beach has calm waters and is perfect for swimming in the sea. Rockpools, coastal walks and a Café on the beach make a superb day out for everyone.
Located near to Newquay this popular family friendly beach has a lovely stream that flows through the beach towards the sea. Behind the beach is an impressive stretch of sand dunes which creates a lovely shelter from any strong winds. A pub and restaurant can also be found nearby.
