Cornwall listed as the fifth highest holiday destination to be ‘Googled’ in 2014
December 18th, 2014
While you were enjoying your stay in some of the best rated cottages in Cornwall there were other potential visitors checking the place out online- and quite a lot too! It was revealed that Cornwall was the fifth highest search listing for holiday destinations on Google in 2014.
Described as a snapshot of Britain’s interests in 2014, Google’s ‘Year of Search’ gave Cornwall the status alongside the respective chart leaders, New York and Paris, and rather impressively, above the popular overseas locations such as Italy and Dubai. The status means that Cornwall was successful in making the listing as the only UK destination in the top ten.
“To be ranked fifth alongside such impressive world-wide destinations demonstrates the immense power of the Cornwall brand and highlights Cornwall’s position as a leading holiday destination,” said Malcolm Bell, head of Visit Cornwall.
