Paolo Nutini’s Eden Session sells out within hours

March 21st, 2015

Tickets to see Paolo Nutini’ Eden Session on June 12th have sold out within hours of going on sale yesterday afternoon. Paolo joins Elton John (June 16 and 17), Motörhead (June 27) and Ben Howard (July 17) on the headliner bill for the 2015 Eden Sessions.

The acclaimed singer-songwriter is set to make a triumphant return to the home of the famous biomes after two outstanding Sessions back in 2010.

Paolo’s third LP Caustic Love – his first since 2009’s Sunny Side Up – was launched to huge critical acclaim in April 2014 and debuted at No 1 in the UK charts.

Originally from Paisley in Scotland, Paolo, now 28, worked in the music industry after leaving school at 16, including stints as a roadie and studio engineer before embarking on his career as a singer-songwriter. As a result, he has shown an understanding of live performance that belies his age. Atlantic Records recognised his potential early on and signed him just after his 18th birthday in 2005.

His first two albums These Streets and Sunny Side Up each sold a staggering 3.1 million copies in the UK alone.

Caustic Love has been described by Q magazine as “a truly excellent modern soul album”, and is a record that acknowledges the classic music of the past while fixing its eyes firmly on the future.

An album of unforgettable songs and choice grooves, topped with Paolo’s incomparable voice, Caustic Love just gets better and better with time and singles him out as one of the best singers of his generation.

This was proven by the live video (filmed at Abbey Road Studios) of the slow-burning Iron Sky, which scored almost two million plays on YouTube before the album’s release. After watching the clip, singer Adele took to Twitter to proclaim it “one of the best things I’ve ever seen in my life”.

The Eden Sessions have become a hugely popular and critically acclaimed series of live music shows featuring some of the biggest names in the business, and just thirty minutes away from The Valley’s cottages with a spa Cornwall.

Eden’s marketing director Rita Broe said: “Having a performer of Paolo Nutini’s originality and brilliance on this year’s bill is fabulous news coming after the incredible reception we have for the Elton John, Motörhead and Ben Howard Sessions.

“It will be five years since Paolo last performed at Eden but the memories of those two concerts in 2010 are indelibly imprinted on the hearts of all those lucky enough to be there on those two special summer nights. Eden loves Paolo and we are so pleased to welcome back this unique talent.”

For those desperate to see Paolo at Eden in June, there will be a second release of tickets at 4pm on Monday 23rd March, which again are expected to sell out very quickly.
