The Boathouse
Situated in a fantastic waterside location at the top end of Falmouth town, The Boathouse has elevated views looking out over the sailing territory of Falmouth Bay. The interior is decked out in a classic nautical style, celebrating what Falmouth is known and loved for, and makes for great surroundings for enjoying a selection of guest ales and fine wines.
Dolly’s Tea Room and Wine Bar
By day, this establishment is a quaint Victorian tearoom, serving tea and cake on bone china, though by night Dolly’s becomes a sophisticated wine and tapas bar. Set to a backdrop of lit candles and a tinkling piano, Dolly’s is the perfect place for an evening of socialising, and the Bloody Marys are not to be missed.
The Shed
Situated in Discovery Quay overlooking the water, The Shed is a retro and laid-back bar-diner which draws in the young crowd. Open from breakfast, The Shed also serves classic pub grub all day, though its colourful cocktails, such as the Elvis Las Vegas, a concoction of blue slush, vodka and peach schnapps topped with sweets, are what have made The Shed such a popular and enduring night-time destination.
Beerwolf Books
Beerwolf Books is the result of an unlikely yet winning combination of beer and books. That’s right, you can now enjoy a freshly-poured local ale while curled up enjoying one of the pub’s many books. Lined wall to wall with unusual and brilliant books, this is an excellent place to meet and unite with fellow fans of the written word. Tucked away in an alleyway off the main shopping streets, Beerwolf Books definitely has to be one of Falmouth’s hidden gems.
